This year try a sequined blazer, which is so chic worn over a strapless dress or with a skinny satin pant and a bustier.

Skirts are making a comeback! Most fashion-forward to me is the short, full skirt in a heavyweight satin, taffeta or organza, paired with a girly top and high, strappy heels.

I always love to see a woman in a tux. Slim pants, a long, fitted peak lapel jacket and just a peek of a cami worn underneath- that is, if you wear anything underneath it at all.

Black will always be right for a gala, but this year it’s time o bring out the color. The range out there is fantastic, from maxis to minis to skirts to top coats. Stand out!
